Daniel Craig: New War Drama ‘Defiance’

English actor Daniel Craig a.k.a. Mr. James Bond is one of three brothers fighting for survival against the Nazis in the new war drama ‘Defiance‘ this movie based on a true story covered by author Nechama Tec in the book Defiance: The Bielski Partisans.

“I didn’t realize this had happened because, of course, it’s not the story that we’re told,” Craig says of his heroic character’s attempt to build a village for refugees — a safe haven from Hitler’s forces — in the forests of Belarus during World War II.

“There were certainly other resistance movements. The fact is that most of them were wiped out,” Craig says. “So it’s interesting in hindsight to tell this story. It was the risk for survival.”

Other stars in the movie are mens styles news and gossips, X-Men’s Sabretooth hunk actor Liev Schreiber and King Kong star Jamie Bell.

It is scheduled to be released on December 31, 2008 however, you can watch the action ‘Defiance,’ hitting theaters on January 16, 2009!
