Swedish Tennis player Robin Soderling was born on August 14, 1984 in Tibro, Sweden. He was known being the first professional tennis player from Sweden to defeat Spanish tennis pro Rafael Nadal in the French Open.

Robin made his 2009 debut at the 2009 Brisbane International. In 2009, after being back from multiple injuries, Robin Soderling managed to reach the 4th round of a Grand Slam for the first time after defeating Kevin Kim, Denis Istomin, and David Ferrer. This set up a match with four time defending champion Rafael Nadal in the 4th round.
