Born Luis Philippe Santos Manzano on April 21, 1981 in San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. He is the son of the veteran Philippine actress turned Governor, Ms. Vilma Santos and veteran Filipino actor Edu Manzano.

Luis Manzano inherited his prominent Chinese physical features from his mom. He was nicknamed also as Lucky Manzano in Philippine showbiz industry, appeared in several TV commercial Ads such as Globe Telecom, Human clothing, Lucky Me Instant Pancit Canton and SSS (Social Security System).
